Fun at the Creek!

I took the boys to Arbor Hills Nature Preserve yesterday. It's got a playground, trails for walking, running, and cycling, blackland prairie, riparian forest, and upland forest. Amongst the riparian forest is a creek and Bryson loves it. We climb down some rocks to get to it and I finally let them play in it! The part that we were at is very shallow and you can see the bottom which is mainly pebbles, and rocks. I would say it is about 7 or 8 inches deep. The boys were playing with their buckets and shovels and stirred the water up a bit so it looked dirty but it is fairly clear hence why I let them play in it! I will have to admit I was still paranoid of seeing a snake or something because after all it is a riparian forest and we have seen snake skin on our numerous times of climbing down to the river. I have to keep telling myself they ARE boys and they like this stuff! Anyways they had so much fun getting wet and dirty. Bryson was having a grand time throwing rocks in the water!

Kicking!

See the big rocks in the background!? That is what we climb down to get to the river.

Bryson had just thrown a rock here. Caleb playing with his bucket and shovel.

Easter

We were in Lubbock for Easter. It was an interesting trip. Victor was having some issues with his eye but by the time we left on Friday to head to Lubbock it was really irritating him. When he woke up Saturday he could hardly open his eye. It was swollen, red, sensitive to light, and blurry. So he heads to a doctor we used to see when we lived in Lubbock. He did some tests and sent him immediately to the ER where he said they would be waiting for him. I think the doc put some major fear in Victor because he was extremely upset as I would be too knowing that you may be losing your eyesight. So after seeing the opthamologist in the ER and running some tests they determined he had 2 ulcers and a staph infection in his left eye! Basically the contacts were not allowing enough oxygen to his eyes causing major irritation that lead to this. He was sent home with 4 medications to put in his eye and to return on Sunday to check the progress. Basically they said that if he would not have come in he would have lost his eyesight! Scary! Anyways on Sunday when he went in the doc said that the ulcers were already healing so he reduced his medications to 2. Once his eye heals he needs to see his eye doctor to see what kind of damage it did to his eyesight. No more contacts for Victor, he is going to have to get some new glasses. So since he hasn't been able to drive I have been his personal chaffeur! We are very thankful that his eye is healing though!

Besides all this excitement we did have a good visit! Both boys love Mimi's house because she has a swingset in her backyard. They spent a lot of time out there! The boys enjoyed the goodies left by the Easter Bunny and had fun with the egg hunt too! The older the boys get the more I want to be closer to family. Bryson just loves playing with his cousins and loves the attention. Caleb is so shy and such a momma's boy that it takes him awhile to warm up but he was even having fun!

Bryson coloring eggs! He had fun with this.

Look what the Easter Bunny left! Bryson is a bit excited...can't ya tell!

Checking out all the goodies!

The boys wouldn't put their Capri Sun down for the picture! I still love it anyways! You wouldn't even notice that my mom had surgery a couple of weeks ago. She lives with MS, not walking, not able to do things for herself but she still has such a spunk to her! Always smiling!! What a strong, strong woman! She is such an inspiration! She makes me so happy!!!

We hunted for eggs indoors as it was too wet outside from the rain! The boys loved it!

Score!

Easter Egg Hunt

We took the boys to our Church Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday. It was a beautiful day for it! Caleb had just woke up and didn't really know that he should be putting the eggs in his basket, lol! Bryson loved it but wanted to open all the eggs before putting them in his basket. They also got to ride some ponies and go for a carriage ride.

Cars, Trucks, and Dump Trucks!

They are all boy!! They love playing with all their cars, trucks, dump trucks, etc.
I walk into their room to see Bryson doing this.

So we do a little counting. Here he is counting all of his cars and trucks!

Then I was trying to get him to sort them by color! We still struggle with our colors. So I am always asking him the color of everything! This is what Caleb was doing while we were busy counting and sorting!

Here is a video of Caleb playing with his Front Loader!

Fishing

Here is Victor and Bryson digging for some worms.

Caleb wants to join in on the fun too! They didn't catch anything, maybe next time!

Mischief!

These boys are so mischievous! Makes for a very exciting day!! Always climbing, getting into things, putting things in odd places, and as of late Bryson has been climbing on the counter and putting my candles out! That boy!!
Making themselves at home in the pantry!

This is where I find Caleb a lot of times. Look at that big grin! Notice the one sock on and one sock off. He seems to like it that way. Crazy boy!

Random place I find "things."

I can never keep up with all the boys sippy cups. I wonder why!? Here is one in the drawer below the oven. I have found them in their toy box, dump trucks, closets.

Painting Fun!!

I printed a couple of Easter Eggs for the boys to paint. The internet has been a great source for activities with the boys. They had circles on the Easter Eggs which was great because we have some paints that are like those bingo dabbers. Bryson had fun dabbing all the circles. That boy LOVES to paint!!! Well Caleb on the other hand was doing everything besides painting with the paints (smearing the paint, banging them together, painting on himself). Bryson ended up finishing his egg too!

Just starting out. Caleb wasn't to sure at first!

Bryson's finished Easter Egg!

Bryson sharing with Caleb! So Sweet! Bryson is finishing up Caleb's Egg.

These Boots Are Made For Walking....

Victor just recently got his boots out. They have been stuck in the closet for quite sometime but he has a pair of jeans that are REALLY long on him...yea 30 length is realllllly long...as in walking on your jeans long, lol! Those jeans would make some nice capri's for me! Love ya, sweetie!! So since the jeans have not been hemmed yet he has worn them with his boots. The boys love it! They put them on and clomp around the kitchen.

These are fun!

More Fun!
