Soccer

We signed Bryson up for soccer in September. He was so excited until his first game. He was pushed down and would not play the rest of the game. Anytime we mentioned soccer he would say, "no, I am not playing." With a little bribery we were able to get him to play the rest of his games. Although most of the time he spent pushing and bumping into all the little peeps. He thought well I got pushed down so I can do it too. Our attempts of explaining how sometimes bumping happens in soccer because you all are going for the same ball but you don't do it on purpose does not seem to be working ;) We are going to do t-ball next. Need to find a sport he likes!!

Sprayground!

We headed out to the sprayground one last time before they shut it down for the Fall and Winter. The boys love it and so does mommy because it wears them out! Bryson is a little fish so he jumps right in and starts playing. Caleb on the other hand slowly eases his way into the water! Caleb would rather play with his bucket and fill it up and then dump it out. Bryson runs around like a chicken without a head going from one thing to another, lol!

Goop!!

I made some goop (cornstarch and water) for the boys to play with. If you hit the goop in the bowl, it feels hard. Stick your fingers in and try to grab a clump, it feels thick like clay. Take it out of the bowl and it turns into a liquid. It was quite messy but fun! Bryson loved it and Caleb was not to fond of it as seen by the pictures.
Caleb just checking it out. He stuck his fingers in it.

And this is what he thinks of goop!!

Bryson having fun!

This is fun!

Look mom!!

First Day of Preschool

Bryson started preschool a couple of weeks ago. He goes Monday thru Friday from 12-3 pm. I was a little nervous because I was making all kinds of hoopla about school and he would tell me no I don't want to go. Once the first day rolled around he was a little nervous but really had no problems leaving us and was happy. It is sad seeing my little man growing up and becoming so independent.
All ready for school. This is his cheese face.

Caleb wanted to be in the picture too.In school and a little nervous.

With Ms. Gregg. I couldn't get him to look at the camera because he was nervous.

After we dropped Bryson off for his first day Victor, Caleb and I went and grabbed a bite to eat and this is my happy little C-Man.

Birthdays!!

The boys birthdays were a couple of weeks ago. Bryson turned 4 and Caleb turned 2!! Bryson's is August 20th and Caleb's is August 22nd. They are exactly 2 years and 2 days apart! We went to Lubbock the weekend before their birthdays so we could celebrate with family. We had a great time as always. Bryson is now understanding the whole birthday thing so it looks like birthday parties with his friends in the future!

We went to my sister's house and went out on the lake. Bryson loved it but Caleb was scared. Here are the boys with cousin Brock.
The family in the water!
Lindsey, Brock, Bryson and I went out on the tube! Bryson loved it and Brock was trying to climb out, lol!

No pictures!

Mimi and the boys!

Playing in the dirt!

Lindsey and family came to my moms house as well as my in-laws and brother-in-law and family. Victor cooked hamburgers and hotdogs on the grill and the kids played outside in the water.Opening gifts

The boys ready to blow out their candles! Caleb actually knew what to do and blew his candles out right away. They were so cute! Sorry about the terrible glare. I didn't think about it but I should have shut the shutters.

Caleb loving his new tricycle from grandma and popo!

Busy playing with his kitchen set from Aunt Lindsey, Uncle Vance, and Brock.

Here is Bryson on his actual birthdate with his mini cream filled cookie cake, in which he only ate the icing off the top. This boy loves icing!

Spike the ULTRA Dinosaur! This thing has a remote control and it walks, growls, eats, roars. It is a cool toy. But Bryson is a bit scared of it. He plays with it but keeps it at a distance. He says its mean!

We went to a birthday party for a good friends little girl on Caleb's actual birthday. Bryson, Gabriella ( we were celebrating her 5th birthday) and Caleb playing a bean bag toss game!

Caleb jumping on their trampoline. Once someone else got on the trampoline he got off. I don't think he liked to be bounced around so much when everyone else was jumping.

Bryson and Edward! This is Gabriella's daddy and Victor's good friend whom Bryson loves!!!

Caleb with his new shopping cart!

Summertime

The boys and I have been trying to stay cool in this intense heat here in Dallas! We spend much of our days swimming or playing indoors. I am definitely ready for it to start cooling off a bit so we can head outside to the parks! B and C are full of energy and need to get it out and the parks seem to be a great way to do it!
I signed Bryson up for soccer so we are looking forward to that! He was a bit upset when I went to sign him up. He thought he was going to get to play right then and there. I tried to explain to him we were just signing him up and we would start practicing and playing in a couple of weeks but that didn't seem to settle well with him and he was throwing a huge fit. Hard headed just like his momma!
Caleb is very interested in "locking and unlocking" doors. He carries keys around with him everywhere. We found some old keys and gave them to him. He loves them and has to lock and unlock the car door, front door, etc.

Caleb hard at work sorting through his business cards!Sending out an email! On the carousal at the mall.Caleb on Bryson's bike. Bryson refused to try to ride his bike. Caleb loved it! Bryson wanted to ride the tricycle which is way to small for him. He still will not peddle though.Playing at the pool!My little fish!Playing on the steps.
Caleb was playing with his car but he stopped and posed for me.Bryson happy about his "skyscraper" that he built. Victor with his mini-me!This is at Watters Creek. Neat place that has shopping and dining and in the middle is this grassy area that has this creek that the boys just love! Anytime Bryson sees water he now asks, "Is there fish in dere? sharks in dere? crocodiles in dere? turtles in dere?" They also have this buffalo statue. Anytime we tell Bryson to hug brother or put your arm around brother, this is what we get...a choke hold, lol. Caleb was not amused by this buffalo.A little painting. Bryson painted an elephant.Caleb painted a lion. After they painted their elephant and lion Bryson wanted to paint dinosaur footprints...And since B was still painting C thought he needed to paint something else too. Painting is fun!! We went to the park one Saturday morning hoping to beat some of the heat but it was still soooo hot even in the shade. Caleb decided to drive for a bit.Bryson on the monkey bars. After Victor put him on the bars Bryson said, "Daddy don't do that." I think he got scared.Notice the key in Caleb's hand. Has to go everywhere with it.Caleb climbing up the "rocks."
